Our long term partner FX contacted us to collaborate with them on their critically acclaimed series, Snowfall. The ask was to develop a show package for season 5 that would resonate with the audience and maintain the artistic caliber of the previous seasons art. The objective was to contrast Franklin Saint, played by Damson Idris, transitioning to new city life from childhood memories in the very different neighborhood he grew up in.
We incorporated high end 3D renders offset with a nostalgic film grain look to depict the slick city life blended with the grit of the streets. We custom developed motion technique to move hyper slowly through these fast effects, turning up the notch on the stylized experiences.
