We’re living in an era where body hair options and customization might be at its peak. What a time to be alive, or at the very least, have a perpetual perfect 5 o’clock shadow anywhere on your body. Our partners at Manscaped have led the charge in razor technology, and came to us looking to create content that properly showcased their new products for their respective audiences in a way that brought to life all of its unique features.

The Insight

Not all electric razors are equal, but people don’t always realize that. With brands claiming a wide variety of unique selling propositions from blade quality to speed to gently whispering apologies to sensitive freshly cut skin. With so many considerations people can start focusing on price as the differentiator. We were intent on clearly demonstrating the unique attributes of the Manscaped line of mens care products so consumers can make a more informed choice.

The Execution

These fully 3D videos couldn’t simply show some cool razors with cool music and a narrator talking about unwanted hair. Instead, the approach taken was to cater each product fully to who they belonged to, starting with the environments that they’d be featured in - a rugged wild scene for the LM03 (designed for the ‘every man’) and a sleeker, refined museum for the more premium LM04. From there it was about showcasing the features that mattered most, hitting on the familiar must haves as well as showcasing the unique aspects that make Manscaped the best possible option. The product, environment, and graphics were all created from scratch and designed to be fully customizable and reusable in future assets needed by our partners.

The Results

While it always helps when the product you’re working on is actually incredible, we like to think that our assets helped just a little a bit to catapult these products to where they are now - one of the highest rated by consumer review sites, and consistently one of the most reviewed and most positively reviewed products in the category on Amazon.
